Hebden Bridge, York

The holiday was fantastic! We stayed in a cottage right in the middle of the country with access to the river and woods from the front door.

The back of the cottage we stayed in

We went on loads of great walks, and despite the worry with the recent flood warnings, the weather wasn't too bad. Willow thoroughly enjoyed herself; I think she's gone off us for taking her back to Aberdeen.

On one of the days we decided to give her a rest due to her arthritis, we were all heading out the door and Gareth threw a bribery-biscuit into one of the rooms for her, she looked at him, looked at the room then shot out the door!
Hebden Bridge itself is a nice place too, talthough it takes some guts to brave the roads as they are rather narrow and take some skill in negotiating by car! Unfortunately Gareth found a shop selling fudge, and has found out they are going online soon. Oh dear.

It was one of those holidays that you need to recover from once you get back from them...
