Oops
The weekend before Gareth started his course he decided to trim his hair with the clippers. As he couldn't check the back that well, he asked me to go over it for him. Assuming he had already put the right grade on the unit I went to task. Unfortunately, he had taken the grade guard off so I had just put a grade 0 streak behind his ear. As the rest of his hair was grade 4, it was pretty obvious.
I managed to grade the rest of his hair to merge with the 0, but the longest grade he now had was 1. In my defense, I tend to think people are as paranoid as me and make sure things like grade guards are on before trustingly handing over the unit to a distracted and somewhat dippy wife.
I don't think I did a bad job in rectifying it; but I don't reckon the skinhead bovver boy was quite the impression he wanted to make on his first day!

Stuff
Thought I'd post a picture of one of the birthday cards I made this year. Unfortunately, the colours haven't come out too well in the photo
Convergence of guilt
Between Gareth returning to university, and me starting a job, the have suffered a bit in terms of walks. They hadn't really been out for about a week until yesterday when Gareth and my guilt at neglecting them must have coincided. After picking me up from work yesterday, Gareth said that he thought the dogs fitness must have really dropped as when he took them to Leigh Woods in the afternoon they got tired incredibly quickly. It was probably more to do with that being there second walk as I took them out before work that morning! They were pretty tired that evening.

The world of work
Sorry for the delay in posting. Last week I started my new job and am still recovering from the shock of full-time work. Before that not much was really happening.
We now have Draco (our snake) back with us, so now we are all back together!
My job is going ok. I was a bit dillusioned at first as no one really seemed to know where to put me for the first week and I spent the majority of my time either watching other people work or being trained on 4 different things simultaneously. The company has undergone a lot of changes recently, so there was an element of dischord still about. Things seem to be calming down though, and this week I at least have access to my own workstation!
